With deep roots in the region and a commitment to land stewardship, the operation combines modern precision agriculture practices with generational farming knowledge to maximize yield, soil health, and long-term productivity.
Meet Our Farm Manager
Dusty Moore – Farm Manager, Getter Farms
Dusty Moore was raised in La Cygne, Kansas, and graduated from high school in 1996. He went on to attend a diesel mechanic technical school and began his career working for a construction company as both a mechanic and heavy equipment operator. Although he enjoyed that line of work, his deep roots in La Cygne and a passion for agriculture ultimately led him back to his hometown.
In 2008, Dusty began working for a local farmer in La Cygne. During that time, he reconnected with Jeff Yowell, whose family farm had been operated by Dusty’s family from the late 1970s through the mid-1990s. Their shared agricultural background sparked a strong friendship, and over the years, Jeff came to rely on Dusty’s insight and judgment when evaluating additional farmland acquisitions and building out Getter Farms’ infrastructure and operations.
In the spring of 2018, as Getter Farms expanded its operations, Dusty was hired as Farm Manager. He now oversees all aspects of farm operations, including, as of 2025, management of Getter Farms Ag, the row crop farming division. Dusty and his wife, Tracy, live at the Getter Farms headquarters location.
